The Spine Shell Bracelet is the smooth version of the shell. The ridges are gone, and what remains is a single faceted band with a sharp edge that runs around the wrist.
The Geometry:
A shell has two sides, the ridged outside and the smooth inside. This bracelet takes the inside. The band is folded along one line, and the fold gives it two flat faces that meet at an edge. Each face catches the light at a different angle, so the bracelet reads as two tones of gold that trade places when the wrist turns.
On the body:
This bracelet is thin, and it stacks easily. It sits close on the wrist, and the edge gives it a presence that a plain band would lack. Worn with the ribbed pieces it is the hard shield next to the flexible skeleton. Worn alone it is the quietest piece in the family.
