Most of the pieces in this shop began as a question from one person. Someone needed a necklace for a particular neck, a cuff for a wrist that had never found one, or a light for a wall that needed something to happen on it.

COMMISSIONS 

I take on a small number of jewelry commissions each year, and I welcome commissions for the objects, especially the lighting. I see the Solar collection as an ever expanding body of work, and I am actively looking for commissions in that direction.

A commission starts with a conversation. You tell me what the piece is for, where it will live or who will wear it, and what you already own and love. I come back with a direction, usually a sketch and a short note, and we agree on the scale, the finish and the price before anything is made.

Jewelry is cast in the material of your choice. The objects shown here are cast in solid brass and finished by hand, and I welcome other material explorations.

Every custom piece is made once, for you, and it comes with a signed note from me that records what it is and when it was made.

Lead times depend on the piece. A ring or a bracelet in an existing form takes a few weeks. A new form, or a light, takes longer, and I will tell you how long before you decide.
