Ramona’s career began in complex facade systems, high-performance building envelopes, and bespoke fabrication, and she led multidisciplinary teams on landmark projects across New York, the Middle East, and Asia. Her construction portfolio includes the TWA Hotel at JFK, Lincoln Square Synagogue, 5 Manhattan West, Louis Vuitton ION Orchard in Singapore, Holt Renfrew Calgary. That career has given her an uncommon fluency across every stage of making, from the first drawing to the finished piece.

The studio applies that same structural intelligence to objects and lighting, bringing the parametric rigor of building systems down to the weight of a vessel in the hand and the shadow cast across a wall.

Complex geometry and engineered materiality scale down into cast forms with weight, shadow, and permanent presence, achieved through Architectural Grafting, precise and deliberate.Every piece begins in geometry the body already knows. The spiral, the branch, the wrap, and the shell are old forms, and they appear in every culture that ever built a temple. The studio arrives at them through engineering. The same tools that shape a building envelope shape the jewelry, and the ribs on a bracelet sit at the angle a structural rule puts them. The mathematics is exact so that the emotion can be exact.

Born in Romania’s Transylvanian mountains, Ramona is a graduate of Harvard University’s Graduate School of Design and a former faculty member at Syracuse University. She is a registered architect, NCARB certified, and a member of the American Institute of Architects. She lives in New York.
