The Thin Shell Ring brings the ribbed texture of the shell down to the finger. It is one narrow band of ridges, and it is the smallest ribbed piece in the family.
The geometry:
The ribs run around the band the way they run along the bracelet, and the curve is tighter here, so the ridges sit closer together. Each one catches the light at its own angle. On a finger the ring moves with every gesture, and the band reads as a small line of flashes that never holds still.
On the body:
The ring sits close on the finger and keeps the texture of the shell at the smallest scale. The wearer can wear it alone or stack it with the Spine Shell Ring, and the two together show the two sides of the armor, the ribbed and the smooth. It can be worn on several fingers for a bolder look.
The life it enters:
This is the ring that gets bought in twos. It goes on with the others in the morning, and it stays on through everything the day brings.
